I simply don't have the time, energy, inclination or the interest to iron these kinds of things.
Dishcloths, cleaning rags, towels - everything.
And again today, she brought back some of Pixie's knickers she had washed from when she had her last week. Ironed. Why? Does it make them feel better on bottoms? Does your bum appreciate ironed knickers or undies???
Tea towels. Why? Do they dry dishes better than un-ironed ones? Every inch of her bedlinen is ironed within an inch of its life. Me, I wash, dry and chuck it back on. I don't care whether it's ironed when I'm so bloody exhausted and collapse into bed. All I'm really looking for is rest, not crisply-pressed sheeting.
And don't even get me started on her unrelenting insistence of using those manky chuffing air fresheners that let out a fart-like pfffffff of neurotoxin-filled spray every time you walk past them...

This post made me smile. I don't know what your mom would make of me then because I don't iron anything! Well I occasionally iron a couple of things if needed but very rarely.
My mum irons verything as well, including teatowels. She also throws a wobbler if I don't fold things precisely. I think she even irons face flannels, but so far i haven't managed to catch her at it
heh heh made me smile too.. I also never iron a thing and am told its sooo not 'proper' :-\ lol
Lol the only things I iron are the bedsheets! But not often. And only the ones for my bed, and only if I'm going to be the first one to get between them, and only if they have been dried indoors. So possibly twice a year! I do love to slide between crisp white sheets though.
Otherwise the rest of the laundry is as wrinkled as various parts of my body!!!
